Privacy at the waitlist stage

What this page covers

HoldMyStory is at an early research stage. The waitlist helps us understand broad interest and decide what should be built. It is not yet a service for storing or sharing memories.

What we ask for

We ask for your first name, email address, country or region, broad audience and memory categories, the single trust priority you select, whether you are exploring the idea through a professional role, whether you may be willing to join a research conversation, and a short campaign label when you arrive through one of our research links. The label identifies the message, not your social profile or browsing history.

Please do not send stories, names of loved ones, photographs, recordings, videos, health information, details about a child or family documents. The current site does not accept memory uploads.

Why we use it

We use the details to administer the founding waitlist, send research and launch updates you agreed to receive, invite willing participants to research conversations, and analyse broad patterns across audience groups and research messages. We do not sell waitlist details.

Storage, sharing and retention

Waitlist details are stored with the site’s database provider and are accessible only for operating this early-stage project. We may use essential technical providers to host the site and database. We do not use the waitlist to claim that a future memory product is secure, permanent or legally compliant.

We intend to keep waitlist details only while the research and launch process remains active, or until you ask us to remove them. A specific retention schedule will be set before any memory service launches.

Your choices

You may ignore the optional research-conversation question. You may also ask to leave the waitlist, stop updates, or ask what waitlist details we hold by using the contact form below and including the email address you joined with.
